Parental Feedback

It is really important to us that we get a good understanding of what our parents think and gather any suggestions that will help us to improve our offer to our community.

To this end we regularly solicit feedback in the form of Parent Questionnaires. One was an overview of the School, the other was asking parents about the Distinctive Christian Character of a Church School. Please see below for 2019 results:

Parents can also visit Parent View to tell OFSTED what they think of the school. Click on the icon below to visit the Parent View page about Christ Church.

The value words are clearly instilled into the everyday learning and children are actively encouraged to celebrate each other’s achievements and strengths and to support one another. Parental involvement is encouraged and the range of events run by PAFA is amazing. Teaching staff are all friendly and approachable and seem to really know each individual child in their classes. What could we improve on?

  • Too much homework – guide requested for how to manage at home.
  • Too little home work
  • Specific procedures could be more clearly explained to new parents – sickness, punctuality. Have healthier snacks at PAFA events
  • More regular feedback on child progress
  • Clarification of PE kit
  • Accuracy of calendar dates
  • Communication – multiple emails on same day
  • EYFS – tell parents if at top of diamond
  • More clubs for younger years – arts and crafts
  • Extend Forest school to other year groups
  • Can term dates for following year be published earlier?
  • Kindness in the playground – visual material to demonstrate fairness
  • Website needs more regular updating – mobile optimised?
  • Provide ideas for parents to support learning
  •  Consider events that promote greater inclusion of children and parents
  •  Punctuality of gate opening
  • More books brought home in R/Y1? – not just phonics books
