Christ Church Church of England Primary School, Shooters Hill ran a consultation which ended on Wednesday 8th January 2025.

A summary of the main changes are:

  • Move two sets of criteria for foundation and open places to 1 set of criteria
  • Include criteria for social and medical need
  • Include criteria for pupils of staff members
  • Church attendance changed to two years of attendance rather than three

Christ Church School is a successful Church of England School and has a distinctive Christian contribution to make to the education of children in the area of Shooters Hill.

The total number on the School roll is limited by the size of the building. The Governors are responsible for admissions and admit 30 per year. The intake to the Foundation Stage Two (Reception Class), takes place at the start of September each year and pupils are admitted over a staggered two week period – the oldest children being admitted first.

The School regularly has more applicants than the number of places available. In formulating the admissions policy for the School, the Governors recognise their responsibilities to both parents and children who are active members of Christ Church and also to those who live in close proximity to the School.

The School does not have any specific units or facilities for pupils with particular special needs or physical disabilities although the School does have internal and external lifts specifically for disabled access. The School is on a multi-level site, with accommodation on all levels. Classrooms, playgrounds and School office are accessible using steps, ramps and lifts.
